Health Policy Implications

The NHS reforms set out in “Liberating the NHS” will have a major impact on health care delivery for all organisations within the NHS.

NHS Elect has closely followed the development of policy, analysed the proposals and offered support to its members in working through the implications for their organisations.

NHS Elect has developed a range of materials and has supported members in a number of ways:

  • Analysis of all aspects of the reforms and the legislative process conveyed to members through presentations either on-site to or at our events open to all members
  • Workshops aimed at board level NHS staff where we use facilitated discussion to update and discuss the implications of current policy
  • Bespoke work on-site with members supporting the development of clinical and business strategy that responds to “Liberating the NHS”
  • Development programmes  with potential GP-Commissioners to increase understanding for the delivery of the reforms and development of specific commissioning and business skills
