Leadership

In uncertain times, teams need leaders that can respond to the emerging situation and motivate and inspire their teams to perform.

We work with members to develop leadership skills within teams in anything from a one-day session to a series of three sessions supported by action learning. Typically, we cover the following areas:

• The role of leader in leading the team, and in implementing and nurturing a performance culture
• Leading the team - motivation and delegation
• Dealing with conflict - Negotiating and assertiveness

Coaching

We are now pleased to offer Coaching as part of the membership offer.
Coaching can be described as the art of releasing the potential in another in order to improve performance, where the coach believes in the potential of the coachee to reach that superior performance.
We have a number of experienced coaches who can work with individuals or teams (in action learning sets) to the benefit of both the individual and the employer.

Personal Development

The tough economic environment and radical change facing the NHS has increased the focus of organisations and individuals on maximising their effectiveness. NHS Elect has always delivered development programmes for members but in recent years attendees have been much clearer about their desire to establish what it will take to make them an excellent manager and ensure they are recognised as such.

Simultaneously organisations are placing an increased emphasis on increasing the confidence and capability of middle and junior managers as well as those operating at Board level or on an aspiring Directors programme.
Our work with members includes; facilitated 360 degree feedback; Myers-Briggs assessment; Seminars in personal presentation, communication & presenting skills and decision making; On site leadership programmes for specific groups of staff.
